I’ve been fiddling around with three characters for a year now or so, hoping to incorporate them into, well, to tell the truth, I’ve been intending to write some basic code and make a video game. I think I have a good idea for the game mechanics—instantiating these ideas into code is the real trick however. All this is to say, I intend to do something a little different in this post and engage in what might be called world-building. This is one of those projects of mine on the back, back, back burner, and yet it may be of some interest to this blog to go over the characters I’ve envisioned for this story.
The protagonist, who I’ve yet to name—I am horribly indecisive when naming characters—is the son of the man—another unnamed character—featured in two posts: The Catacombs and Denn Die Todten Reiten Schnell. He is, then, a Dhampire.
The second member of this party, also unnamed—noticing a pattern?—is the unholy result of a Frankenstein-esk experiment. However, all her parts were gathered from the murdered victims of her “father.” The key ingredient to bring her to life was vampire blood, our protagonist’s blood. As such, these two share a powerful bound.
Anyway, someone had to take the fall for all those murders, and who better than our protagonist? So, when the protagonist and Frankenstein’s Daughter get the hell out of Dodge, the city sends a cursed man—by happenchance, an acquaintance of our protagonist—to hunt the pair down. Anyway, after using the cursed man to drive the plot forward, I’ll have the pair break his curse and set him free. He’ll then be an ally, and the adventuring party will be complete.
So, this post was something different. Most of the characters, you may notice, are based off of pre-existing tropes, and these three are still floating around in the ethereal portions of my mind without much of a story to live in. I have a beginning for them, and an end. I have yet to fill out the middle.
I like the vampire/Frankenstein connection. Sounds like a cool story in the making.

Thank you. Maybe one day it will take off the ground.

Frankenstein’s daughter is an intriguing character. She sounds very mixed up! Lol. Dhamphire? Kinda reminds me of dhampirs… creature of human and vampire origin. Cool, video game concept!

Thank you. (Oh dear, thanks for spotting the misspelling there.)

“Dhamphire” actually makes more sense to be spelled that way.
