Poem: Lost Between

When everywhere is somewhere else
and you, standing between,
see everyone is someone else,
be sure you are unseen.

The light will blind a fair maiden
but bring her beauty out.
The light will blind you, dear maiden,
and then there’ll be no doubt.

They come today, or so they say,
and I’m leaving tonight.
We’ll leave heaven, he so did say,
and fall far out of sight.

Always will I remember you,
never forgetting this,
that it was all because of you
that I am barred from bliss.
