Drabble: The Grave

The glistening, white marble stone cast a long shadow across the barren dirt. Its smooth faces were pristine, as if perpetually polished, and the deep etchings on it, like its surface to the surrounding dirt, remained as hopelessly aloof to the minds of men. What it said is a mystery; What it was, was known. There were bones beneath the memorial, strange, long dead bones hidden in the cold dirt, giant bones

It is said nothing will grow where the giant sleeps. Nothing living likes to stay near that stone for very long. The Giant’s Tomb is a dreadful place.
