Alone

Say what you will, I don’t need it,
and do what you must, I repeat:
I’ll go on alone,
walking through crowds.
I need nobody else,
because I am alone.

All my faces are masks to you
you seek what’s deeper than I am.
Not tragic: broken.
Not sad: alone.
This is no grand story;
it’s only what’s broken.
