Until the Dawn

BY DR. AGONSON

They say, “You’re not yourself, today,”
and lovingly reach out.
I know I lost myself that day;
for me I’ve looked about.

I don’t know my own name,
and have no sketch to show
my face to strangers who
might say where I did go.

Look for me, friends;
find me.
Searching for friends,
I see:

The night
goes on
until
the dawn.
